Arielle Dayna Mendelson will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Monday, Aug. 18, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. She is the daughter of
Shelly and Jody Mendelson and sister of
Melissa and Erica. Proud bubbie and
zayde are Minnie and Sam Berman. She
is also the grand-
daughter of the late
Philip Mendelson
and the late Theresa
Wirbeliet.
Arielle is an honor
student at Walled
Lake Middle
School. Her favorite
mitzvah projects
were working at
WINGO for Women's American ORT,
participating in the Homeless Project at
Adat Shalom and planting trees in Israel
through the Jewish National Fund.

Daniel Edward Segal of Bloomfield
Hills will become bar mitzvah at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek Southfield
on Saturday, Aug. 16. He is the son of
Bruce and Terry Segal and brother of
Jessica. Proud grandparents are Alice
and Andrew Segal.
Daniel attends Bloomfield Hills
Middle School.
His mitzvah proj-
ects included deliv-
ering Purim
parcels, raising
money for the
Juvenile Diabetes
Foundation and
volunteering at the
Michigan Animal
Rescue League.
