Mr. Lipson, 48, was with friends and the family he was devoted to when he died of a heart attack, vacationing at his summer home in Bellaire, Mich., Aug. 8, 2003. Intensely committed to his wife, Debra, sons, Mark, 18, Kevin, 14, and Brian, 9, his mother and other family members, Mr. Lipson, a lawyer, was never too busy to take time out from his hurried professional life to be there for them.
