EMILIE E LERMAN, 80, former
Detroiter of Sarasota, Fla., died July
18, 2003. She relocated to Miami,
Fla., in 1967 with her husband,
Lawrence Lerman, and moved to
Sarasota in 1999. She retired in
1991 as an adult education secretary
for the Miami Dade School System
and was a member of Suncoast

Optimist Club of Sarasota.
Mrs. Lerman is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Carole and
Geoffrey Proffitt of Sarasota; sons
and daughters-in-law, Michael and
Rhonda Lerman of Columbus,
Ohio, Bruce Lerman of Fort McCoy,
Fla., Jerome and Eve Lerman of
Foster City, Calif., David and
Suzanne Lerman of Bridgeton, N.J.;
brother and sister-in-law, Saul and
Faye Berch of Las Vegas, Nev.; sis-
ters-in-law, Evelyn Berch of Oak
Park, Renee Dopulos of West
