Help Plan Older Adult Services

Those interested in the issues of health care, home care and other services
provided to older adults in the community are invited to participate in
planning for the future. The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's
ElderLink is developing a plan for older adult services.
Since its inception, ElderLink has provided a network of services to
address the needs of older adults in the Jewish community. ElderLink is
now seeking input from the community.
Focus group discussions will be held on Monday, Aug. 11, and
Wednesday, Sept. 3, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Max M. Fisher Federation
Building, 6735 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township.
Pre-registration is required. To participate, call Pat Mayer, (248) 203-
1519, by Aug. 7.

JCC's Pitt Center Accredited

The Sarah and Irving Pitt Child Development Center has earned accredi-
tation from the National Association for the Education of Youth
Children. This is the fourth year that the Pitt CDC has been accredited.
The Pitt CDC offers programs for children ages two months through
kindergarten in the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit.
Programs include Kindermusik, art, stories, cooking, science, comput-
ers, languages, readiness, gym, swim, spacious gross motor areas, kosher
lunches and snacks. The Pitt CDC also is a pilot school for the Jewish
Community Center Association's curriculum which teaches Jewish values
to young children.
