Shulman Estate
Endows Library

The estate of Rosalyn and Rudolph
Shulman has created an endowed
Judaic library fund at Bar-Ilan
University in Ramat Gan, Israel.
"The Shulmans were dedicated to
Jewish education, both in Israel and in
Detroit, where they supported the
effort of the institutions whose mis-
sion was dedicated to the study of
Torah, Jewish values and the mainte-
nance of Jewish continuity," said Les
Goldstein, executive director of
Detroit Friends of Bar-Ilan University.
Locally, the Shulmans supported
Yeshiva Beth Yehudah, where an edu-
cational fund was established, and
Hillel Day School, where the chapel
bears their name. They were long-time
members
and sup-
porters of
Adat
Shalom,
where
Rudolph
served as
president
and where
the educa-
tional
Rosalyn and Rudolph
wing bears
Shulman
the
Shulman
name.
The estate of the Shulmans, charter
supporters of Bar-Ilan, is the benefactor
of the Rudolph and Rosalyn Shulman
Endowed Judaic Library Fund.
Income from the endowment fund
will be used to buy books, journals and
Internet resources exposing students and
researchers to an array of Jewish writers
and thinkers.
