RICHARD KROLL, 78, of Troy,
died July 13, 2003. He was an office
furniture manufacturers representa-
tive.
Mr. Kroll is survived by his wife,
Bert Kroll; sons and daughter-in-law,

and Nancy Lafferty of Royal Oak;
daughter and son-in-law, Susan Kroll
and Robert Lachow of New York;
grandchildren, Jason Kroll, Colin

Illinois.

ROBERT LANDY, 90, former

Detroiter of Palm Beach Gardens,
Fla., died July 8, 2003.
He is survived by his daughter and
son-in-law, Susan and Dan Freedland;
son and daughter-in-law, Donald and
Carla Landy; grandchildren, Nancy
Landy, Scott and Kiki Landy, Sheryl
Freedland, Howard and Tracey
Freedland; great-grandchildren, Aric
and John Landy, Jared and Bennett
Freedland. He was the beloved hus-
band of the late Julia Landy.

LEONARD M. LEVIN, 80, of

Centerville, Mass., and Naples, Fla.,
formerly of providence, R.I., died
July 14, 2003. Mr. Levin received his
accounting and business degrees from
Bryant College and worked as a certi-
fied public accountant in Providence
before retiring in 1992. He was a
member of the American Institute of
CPAs and the Florida Institute of
CPAs.
Mr. Levin had been a member of
Temple Emanuel in Providence and
the Anshei Chesed of Cape Cod. Also
a member of the Masonic fraternity,
he received a 50-year presentation
from the Grand Lodge of Masons of
Rhode Island.
He was an Army Air Force veteran
of World War II and a member of the
Jewish War Veterans.
Mr. Levin is survived by his wife,
Eunice (Kaze) Levin; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Richard and Vicky Levin
of Waban, Mass., Robert and Sharon
Levin of Bloomfield Hills; sister,
Ethel Bogdan of Lexington, Mass.,
grandchildren, Lee, Jessica, Jennifer,

Jeffrey.
Interment at the Falmouth, Mass.,
Jewish Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to Hospice and Palliative
Care of Cape Cod or to a charity of
one's choice. Arrangements by
Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel in
Providence.

MARCIA E. MASSERMAN, 67, of

Southfield, died July 11, 2003. She
was best known for her creative party
planning and coordinating services
offered to the metro Detroit Jewish
community for almost 40 years. As a
pioneer for the "theme" parties, she
designed very creative and unusual
simchahs for hundreds of clients. It
became the norm for Mrs.
Masserman to offer her services for a
baby naming and then assist in plan-
ning a wedding for the same client 25
years later.
She is survived by her husband,
Monte Masserman; sons and daugh-
ter-in-law, Brian and Cindy
Masserman of Highland, Rodney
Masserman and partner Ken of
Ferndale, Darryl Masserman; brother
and sister-in-law, Leonard and
Jeanette Finn of Oak Island, N.C.;
sister and brother-in-law, Tama and
Ashley Gorman of Southfield; grand-
children, Nolen Masserman, Margo
Masserman. She was the loving
mother of the late Sherri Masserman.
