Activists Join
ZOA Mission

Nine metro Detroiters took part in the
Zionist Organization of America's annu-
al activist mission to Washington June
20 to express opposition to the U.S.-
backed road map for creating a
Palestinian Arab state.
Among the 350 local activists were
ZOA National Secretary Jerome S.
Kaufman, Michigan ZOA president Joe
Savin, Diane Savin, Dr. Leora Bar-
Levav, Talya Drissman, Dr. Sid Stone,
Michael Solarz, Aaron Martin and
Norma Harpaz.
The mission's theme was the need for
the United States to insist that the
Palestinian Authority stop all terrorism,
arrest terrorists, disarm and outlaw ter-
rorist groups and halt all anti-Israel
incitement before Israel makes any more
concessions and the road map proceeds.
The activists argued that the central
flaw of the Oslo accords was the failure
to insist on P.A. compliance.
