Rabbi Ronen Lubitch Lubitch, an Orthodox Israeli rabbi of the reli- gious kibbutz Nir Ezion near Haifa; the Rev. Samuel Fanous, an Arab Israeli Episcopalian minister from Ramle; and Imam Khalid Abu Ras, a disciple of Sheik AbdelSalaam Minasra of Nazareth will speak at a series of programs hosted by the Episcopalian Diocese, a down- town Detroit Presbyterian Church, lead- ers from the diverse Muslim community and the AJC. The group's purpose is to vocalize a message of hope that peace between reli- gious communities in Israel is possible and back on track and that such a goal is pursued by a younger generation of reli- gious leaders. It is AJC's hope to also shatter stereotypes about Muslims, Arabs, Orthodox Jews and Christians in Israel. The host organizations will offer opportunities for audiences to express their concerns, fears and questions to these Israeli Arabs and Jew. This tour is underwritten by National AJC's Heilbronn Institute for International Interreligious Understanding. For the programming schedule and information on the visitors, call the American Jewish Committee office, (248) 646-7686.
