We Get Questions

Q: My husband and I travel quite a bit and
often receive our yahrzeit notices upon our
return. Sometimes we miss the dates we want
to observe. Is it acceptable to light a candle
after the actual yahrzeit?

A:

The answer is absolutely. You can light a
candle after the date. Since you sent me this
question via email, go to our website and sign
up for our email yahrzeit notification program.
We will email you I0 days to two weeks prior
to the yahrzeit and you'll never have to miss
the date again.
