In T3, Schwarzenneger's titular
cyborg protects Connor from a sexy
she-bot Terminatrix (Kristanna
Loken); directing actors to play these
robots proved unexpectedly tough
because "the portrayal involves sup-
pressing all innate human emotions,"
Mostow said.
To help Loken, he approved train-
ing in mime and Krav Maga, the bru-
tal hand-to-hand combat system used
by the Israeli army.
As for why the Terminator has

become such a pop culture icon,
Mostow said, "It's for the same reason
people love gangster stories. One rea-
son The Sopranos is such a hit is
because Tony Soprano does whatever
he wants, and you still like him."
Mostow, for his part, is resolved not
to worry whether Terminator enthusi-
asts will still like him after seeing the
movie, which opened July 2.
"When you know fans really care, it
just makes you put more pressure on
yourself," he said. "But to be safe, I
won't publish my address — although
I'm sure those angry letters will find
their way to me somehow." Fl

most of their time talking
about men, eating and shopping —

could change this season on HBO's
Sex and the Ci t y, when one of the gals
considers heading to temple.
In the beginning of season five,
fiber-WASP Charlotte York (Kirsten
Davis) got back in the dating game,
after her divorce from handsome
mamma's boy Dr. Trey MacDougal.
By the end of the season, she found
herself falling in love with her "just-
