Summer Shabbat Picnics 2003

Fridays at 6:00 p.m. July 4 & 25, August 15

Please join us for this wonderful, joyful experience

Enjoy a reasonably priced buffet supper or bring your own picnic dinner.
We provide paper goods, plastic ware, candles, wine or juice, and challah
for Shabbat blessings. Please call Liz at 248-661-5700 for reservations.

Chairs are provided for Shabbat Under The Stars or you may bring a blanket!

Camp Shabbat — Celebrate Shabbat Kid-Style
August 15, 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

Children get their first taste of Shabbat in this age-appropriate experience,
designed exclusively to help instill the love of being Jewish and being at
temple on Shabbat.

Camp-goers...
4. Sing special songs and prayers
4. Make new Jewish friends
4. Have fun with the cool Shabbat Camp Counselors

Create awesome Jewish art projects
4. Learn new Israeli dances
+ Hear exciting stories

Camp Shabbat is open to children ages three through seven; camp-goers
must be out of diapers. Following Camp Shabbat, children rejoin their families
to go up to the bimah.
