OJ's Sushi Bar is a small place ...
seating only about 30 in the little
dining room ... and another 11 at a
separate sushi bar.
You can taste the freshness ... and
nothing is more important at a
Japanese restaurant than fresh ... And
the temperatures in which food is
maintained must not by any means
fluctuate ... These factors are so very
vital.
This is definitely very Japanese ...
not a combination of two worlds or
an aside along with another cuisine.
It is also one of the few Japanese
restaurants around where the chef is

OJ's Sushi Bar.
Its location may have worked
against it in some ways ... But once
discovered, OJ's Sushi Bar will bring
folks back.
LAST YEAR WAS a sweltering and
very uncomfortable 94 degrees in the
shade.
This year, most folks the day before
would have been happy for it again ...
instead of the rain galore, then torna-
do warnings with beckoning shelter
coverage.
Next day started out
cloudy ... but the
weather eventually
turned into one of the
finest days the excellent
11th annual Hank
Greenberg Memorial
Golf & Tennis
Invitational has seen ...
with a very comfortable
low-70s temperature.
It was a great day for
golfing and tennis ...
and a lot of conviviali-
ty and memories ... for
more than 300 who
came for the games,
dinner and show-ban-
quet later.
Irving Lash thrilled
at the recent 65th

Rose ... with all 35 family members
celebrating at their son Steve's and
daughter-in-law Carol's home ... Jim

sunning himself by the table where
WDFN hosts Bob Wojnowski and
Mike Stone, did their radio show.

real name is Irving ... The "Pete," as
every knows him, was after the one-
time Detroit Tiger outfielder Pete Fox.
