AZA

Dig Honors at a BIG

There were 384 Michigan BBYOers who decided to take their
winter break this year at Regional Convention. Participation,
competition, and, of course, enthusiasm were up - way up! At
the end of it all, many chapters had ample reason to feel good
about their efforts. Here are those chapters that earned RC
Honor Roll for having entered all events:
BBG
AZA
Ahavah #293
Hank Greenberg #151
Fanny Brice #976
Al Jolson #317
Genesis #974
Kishon #63
Koach #345
Kitzoni #321
Ruach #83
Evan Shapiro #313
Dora Savage #308

Yachad BBG,
Windsor, found
that it was
worth it to
cross the
border as their
entry took 3rd
place in the
BBG Banner
Contest.

The enthusiastic
girls of Koach BBG
wave and sing
their way through
their entry into the
Song Contest at
Regional
Convention '02,
held December
22-26 at the
Jewish Community
Center in West
Bloomfield.

Kitzoni AZA
enjoyed presenting
their act, "Girls
just want to have
fun," at the annual
Regional
Convention Talent
Show at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek.

The young men of
Evan Shapiro AZA
celebrate their
achievement as
AZA Most
Distinguished
Chapter at
Regional
Convention, an
honor that they
shared with Kishon
AZA.

Al Jolson AZA
concludes its
traditional
stomping entry
onto the stage
for the AZA
Song Contest.

Ahavah BBG
showed their
coordination as
they swept to
victory in the BBG
Whirlyball
Tournament on the
first day of
Regional
Convention.

Ray, Eva, and Arden
Shapiro present Jonathan
Wright with the Evan
Shapiro Leadership
Scholarship at the
opening ceremony of
Regional Convention
2002. The $1000
scholarship will go
toward his attendance at
Kallah and ILTC this
summer.
