DR HERBERT ROSENBAUM, 86, of
West Bloomfield, died June 10, 2003. He
was an internist who practiced at Harper
Hospital and William Beaumont
Hospital. From 1949-1982, he had
offices in the Fisher Building and from
1982-1994 in the Town Center in
Southfield.
Dr. Rosenbaum was a 1943 graduate
of the Michigan Medical School, a mem-
ber of Alpha Omega Alpha and a mem-
ber of the Fellow American Council of
Physicians.
He is survived by his wife, Doris
Rosenbaum; daughters and sons-in-law,
Judith and Stanley Marcus of Florida,
Margie and Bob Fein of Florida, Leslie
and Jeff Cohen of Farmington Hills; son
and daughter-in-law, Dr. Lewis and
Leslye Rosenbaum of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jeffrey
Levenberg, Jonathan Marcus, Henry,
Max and Sam Rosenbaum, Alison and
Michael Fein, Jacob Walter Cohen; sister,
Bernice Hertz of Farmington Hills; sister-

COL. NORMAN H. SCHWARTZ

(USAF ret.), former Detroiter of Mobile,
Ala., died June 4, 2003. He saw duty in
World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He
was a doctor of optometry and saw active
duty for 36 years.
Col. Schwartz is survived by his wife,
Elizabeth; children, Salvador, Joanne
Schwartz, Karen and Don McGrain,
Louis and Beth Schwartz, Kathy and Jim
Johnston, Leslie and Alan Goldberg;
brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert "Gibby"
and Phyllis Schwartz; nine grandchildren;
one great-grandchild. He was the hus-
band of the late Priscilla; son of the late
Louis and Marie Schwartz.
Burial with full honor guard was at the
Military National Cemetery in Pensacola,
