Wendy (Cutler) and Todd Luczak of
Oak Park are thrilled to announce
the birth of their daughter,
Charlotte Olivia (Nava Hadas).
Delighted grandparents are Phil and
Aida Cutler of Oak Park and Marg
Luczak of Bay City. She is also the
granddaughter of the late Donald
Luczak. Charlotte is named in mem-
ory of two very special ladies, her
great-aunt Norma Guyer Sobesky
and her great-great-aunt Hania
Shane.

Erika Ann Meltzer
will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah
on Saturday, June 14,
at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek
Southfield. She is the
daughter of Jeffrey
and Julie Meltzer and
sister of Matthew. Erika's proud grand-
parents are Dee and Milt Fishman and
Florence Meltzer. She is also the grand-
daughter of the late Samuel Meltzer.
Erika is an honor student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills,
where she enjoys running cross-country
and playing volleyball and soccer. She
loves being with friends and spending
summers at Tamarack Camps. Erika's
favorite mitzvah projects were making
dolls at Hadassah House in West
Bloomfield and volunteering at Shaarey
Zedek's Camp Berman.

Austin Reid Brooks
will be called to the
Torah on the occa-
sion of his bar mitz-
vah on Friday, June
13, at Temple Israel.
He is the son of Lori
Brooks and Allan
Brooks and brother
of Ilana and Garrett.
Pleased grandparents are Alvira and
Sanford Perlman and Rochelle and
Marvin Brooks.
An honor student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield,
Austin attends Camp Walden in
Cheboygan and enjoys cars, comput-
ers, music and movies. His most
meaningful mitzvah project was donat-
ing funds to the Parkinson Foundation
to help find a cure for the disease.

Joel Benjamin
Millman, son of
Michelle and James
Millman and brother
of Michael, will read
from the Torah on the
occasion of his bar
mitzvah Saturday,
June 14, at Temple
Israel. He is the grandchild of the late
Rose and Irving Levine and the late
Minnie and Max Millman.
Joel attends Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills. His favorite sports are
in-line hockey, archery, snowboarding
and skateboarding. He also enjoys build-
ing and racing remote-control cars. His
most meaningful mitzvah project was
helping at Temple Israel's Sunday school,
assisting in the classroom.

David Samuel
Cantor, son of Cathy
Cantor and Dr. Scott
Cantor, will celebrate
his bar mitzvah on
Friday, June 13, at
Temple Israel. He is
the brother of Jared,
Mallory, Amanda
and Aidan. His
grandparents are Rhoda Cantor and
Margaret Vingerelli. He is also the
grandchild of the late Harvey Cantor
and the late Lillian and Eugene
Walters.
David is a student at Abbott Middle
School in West Bloomfield. His
favorite activities are football and video
games. His most meaningful mitzvah
project was helping put away books
and assisting at the Temple Israel
library.

Alexander Milton
Moss (Mendel) of
Franklin will become
a bar mitzvah at
Temple Shir Shalom
Saturday, June 14.
Participating in the
ceremony will be his
parents, Patty and
Bruce Moss, brother Jake and sister
Mallory. Proud grandparents are Joanne
and Don Purther of Franklin. He is also
the grandson of the late Milton Smith
and the late Edith and Sam Moss.
Alex is an honor. student at Berkshire
Middle School in Birmingham, where he
plays in the band and on the basketball
team. His favorite subject is social stud-
ies. He is active in baseball and enjoys
spending part of each summer at Camp
Tamakwa in Canada. Alex's mitzvah
projects have focused on helping the
underprivileged.
