AJE Slates Judaic Classes Federation's Alliance for Jewish Education's lifelong learning pro- gram for adults will offer several Judaic classes this summer. "The Secret of the Jewish People: Revealing the Content of the Traveling Shtender" will be taught by Rabbi Judah Isaacs. The class will be about daily, monthly or yearly symbols of Jewish life and their meaning, noon-1 p.m. Wednesdays, June 18-July 16 at the Max Fisher Federation Building in Bloomfield Township. "The Language of Our People," a class to examine basic Hebrew words and concepts that convey the essential vocabulary of our people, will be taught by Nira Lev. No prior Hebrew language experience is required. This course will be noon-1 p.m, Tuesdays, June 17- July 15, and 7:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, June 18-July 16. There is a fee for all classes.
