The election and installation of Leemis and other JFS officers will take place at the JFS annual meeting 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Max M. Fisher Jewish Federation Building in Bloomfield Township. Leemis has served on the JFS board for seven years, most recently as treasurer and executive com- mittee member. Leemis She serves as treas- urer of the United Jewish Foundation and on the board of governors of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. She is a past president of Adat Shalom Synagogue and the National Council of Jewish Women-Greater Detroit Section. She received NCJW's Hannah G. Solomon award in 2002. Also nominated to the JFS execu- tive committee are Gina Horwitz, Mark Landau and Barbara Tukel, vice presidents; Amy Hoffman- Haimann, secretary; Shaul Englender, treasurer; and Sandra Danto, Irving Nusbaum, Susan Pappas and Jennifer Silverman, members at large. Nominated to first terms on the JFS board are Patti Baum, Heidi Fischgrund, Carol Hooberman, Susan Leemaster and Joel M. Young.
