weekend family fun pack!

Yael Rotten right, with fellow student
Tali Katz, both of Los Angeles.

Machal or go to Yeshiva University in
New York, Winkler is adamant he
"will definitely make aliyah within the
next five years."
He cites his community and his
family as inspirational forces in his
decision. "The whole Zionist atmos-

alef-beis [Hebrew alphabet]."
He enjoyed studying at Derech and
sees another year as a necessary part of
his Jewish education. "When I go back
to the U.S.A., the learning isn't the
same and it's not full time. This is my
chance to build up skills I need —
when else am I going to have this kind
of time?"
More than the urging of his rabbis
and friends, Romanoff says that Israel
