She was active in the United Fund Torch Drive, National Council of Jewish Women, Project Hope, Women's City Club and the Detroit Institute of Arts. She was also involved with Hadassah and ORT and took part as a Girl Scout leader. In addition, she headed the Mumford High School Parent Association. Mrs. Bloom is survived by her chil- dren, Phyllis Bloom Schapira and Dr. Stuart L. Bloom; grandchildren, Beth, Jay Jr., Gwen and Leslie; broth- er, Morris Rosenbaum. She was the devoted wife of the late Leslie D. Bloom; sister of the late Benjamin and Frank Rosenbaum. Services were held at Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City, Calif. SOL CARR, 80, of Farmington Hills, died May 30, 2003. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bettye Carr; son and daughter-in-Jaw, Randy and Judy Carr of Walled Lake; daughter, Elana Carr of Farmington Hills.
