ready to swing the doors wide to an
eagerly waiting public.
Should be by the middle of July if
everything goes as planned ... It'll be
open six days a week (no Sundays) ...
serving lunch and dinner.
During the week dining will have
favorites of Southern France, coastal
region and other areas ... with each
day featuring a French classic like coq
au yin, bouillabaisse, etc.
Lunches are expected to be below
$10 ... and dinners under $19, includ-
ing an 8-ounce fillet.
The same excellent hamburger pat-
ties as at the Red Coat Tavern on
Woodward in Royal Oak, also owned
by Zinc brothers Matthew and Mark
Brown ... will include the popular
low-fat Piedmontese beef.
Same patties but with a different
sauce and different bun ... Also the
caramelized onions will be cut thinner.
"The burgers will be among the
most outstanding anywhere!" says an
excited Executive Chef Louai Sharkas.
A large and fine low-priced wine list
will be under the guidance of every-
body's favorite host, Louie
Weidemann.
ANOTHER IN THE series of sum-
mer entertainment has begun at
Rocky's of Brighton ... with the jazz
and pops concerts featuring groups
from 6-10 p.m. ... This month's lineup
will appear June 5, 10, 12, 13, 17, 19,
24 and 26.
YES, GIORGIO'S of Oak Park ...
on Greenfield and Lincoln ... was sold
by brothers George and Bill Golematis
... It is now owned by their former
employee of 15 years, Eddie Hanna ...
and serves the same gourmet counter-
side food as always at the former
Biff's, Spiro's, Giorgio's, Peter's K and
Giorgio again ... since 1981.
The present Giorgio's of West
Bloomfield at Sugar Tree, south of 15
Mile, is still owned by George and Bill
... with expansion expected this sum-
mer.
