The Jewish News has long been
known for its coverage of Jewish life,
events and issues in the area. Now
visitors to its expanded Web site will
find more coverage of those same
features plus additional content to
enhance their Jewish life.
"Our goal is to be the best
resource for all things Jewish in
Metro Detroit, regardless of affilia-
tion," said Arthur M. Horwitz, pub-
lisher of the Jewish News. "Whether
you are searching for the answer to a
religious question, a calendar of
Jewish-related events in the area,
buying a gift for a co-worker or
looking to meet Jewish singles,
detroitjewishnews.com has what you
need."
The Web site sports a new look,
and offers improved navigation for
visitors to find the information they
are most interested in, such as books
and movies, local commentary and
food features.
Through a feature called "My
Headlines," visitors also will be able
to create a personalized homepage
on detroitjewishnews.com that
highlights the day's information that
they most want to read.
Visitors will find new features such
as "Ask A Rabbi," a guide to Jewish
Camps in Michigan, and interna-
tional news from the Jerusalem Post.
In its new form, detroitjewish-
news.com also strives to bring mem-
bers of the Jewish community
together through many of its inter-
active features, such as a chat area,
discussion forums and electronic
greeting cards with a Jewish flavor.
Visitors to the site can also post
their comments about the stories
they read and submit their own news
and information to be included in
detroitjewishnews.com
On-line visitors will be able to
browse more than 500 kosher recipes
