A record 173 graduating high school seniors met our minimum grade point requirement and our deadline in order to be part of our annual yearbook. The total number of Michigan students appearing in our pages soared last year when we changed our entry limitations. But there is no grade inflation — the 3.60 minimum, unweighted, cumulative grade point aver- age remains the same as it has for the previous 13 edi- tions of Cap & Gown, and so does the quality of the students. As you read our student resumes, you will be amazed at the depth and expansiveness of the activities in which these great students are involved. At the same time, these youngsters know how to crack the books. Enjoy reading Cap & Gown. You'll know someone highlighted there. But also read about the students you don't know. Individually and together, they will soon be leading our Jewish community.
