announces the b'nai mitzvah of

Kaplan, Joshua Kazden, Daniel
Keen and Nathan Vale 10 a.m.
Saturday, May 10.
The b'nai mitzvah of Andrew
Aerni, Dana Beck, Dustin Borlack,
Laura Davidson, Matthew Lenzi,
Brett Malbin and Devon Roberts
will take place 10 a.m. Saturday,
May 17.
Both services will take place in
the Marion and David Handleman
Hall and Auditorium at the Jewish
Community Center in West
Bloomfield.
All 13 students have combined a
community-related work project
with a philosophical study of the
Torah and Talmud, culminating in a
rite of passage ceremony shared by
the student, their families and
guests. The public is invited to
attend the services.
The Jewish Parents Institute is a
secular educational program
designed to help children from
nursery school age through the teen
years to gain a rich understand of
their Jewish identity. Classes meet
on Sunday mornings at the West

Healing Service
Gives Comfort

Adat Shalom Synagogue will hold
its next Healing Service 7:30 p.m
Tuesday, May 13.
These services are designed for
those who long for a greater sense of
spirituality or have concerns related
to grief, physical or emotional ill-
ness or change. They are led by
Rabbi Herbert Yoskowitz and
Cantor Howard Glantz and are
planned throughout the year.
The healing services are spon-
sored by Adat Shalom's Caring
Community, a sub-committee of the
Adat Shalom Social Action
Committee. Chairing the Caring
Community are Susie Graham and
Diane Howitt.
