inet and piano and riding and
designing rollercoasters. He also
enjoys spending summers at Camp
George in Canada. His most mean-
ingful mitzvah project involved deliv-
ering meals to homebound elderly
during the holiday season.

Erin Nicole Kaplan will celebrate her
bat mitzvah Saturday,
May 10, through the
Jewish Parents
Institute at the
Jewish Community
Center in West
Bloomfield. She is
the daughter of Lisa
and Steven Kaplan
and sister of Stacey
Lynn. She is the grandchild of Esther
Weingarden of Deerfield Beach, Fla.,
and the late Louis Weingarden, the
late Sidney Kaplan and the late -
Pauline Kaplan.
Erin is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. She enjoys taking dance
classes, babysitting and spending
summers at Tamarack Camps and
Camp Michigania. She volunteered
at the. Hadassah Doll Project in West
Bloomfield and with Critter
Connection. Erin's most meaningful
volunteer experience was involve-
ment with children with special
needs through the Friendship Circle.

Amanda Rose Kuppe will be called
to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah Saturday,
May 10, at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek West
Bloomfield, B'nai
Israel Center. She is
the daughter of
Richard and Linda
Kuppe and older sis-
ter of Matthew. Amanda's proud
grandparents are Hy and Sybil
Ankerman and Tobie Kuppe and Iry
Kane. She is also the granddaughter
of the late Arnold Kuppe.
Amanda is an honor student at
Clifford Smart Middle School in
Walled Lake. She enjoys playing soc-
cer, performing in plays, horseback
riding, swimming and playing the
flute in the school band. Her mitz-
vah projects included volunteering at
Shaarey Zedek's Camp Betman as -
well as visiting with residents at the
Danto Family Health Care Center in
West Bloomfield.

Jordan Louis Landau
will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday, May
10, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek
Southfield. He is the
son of Denise and
Marc Landau of
Farmington Hills and brother of
Chelsea and Ian. Proud grandparents
are Beverly Hellmer of Berkley and
Alene and Graham Landau of
Franklin.
Jordan is an honor student at
Warner Middle School in Farmington
Hills. His interests include ice hockey,
tennis, hip-hop music, playing trum-
pet in the school band, spending time
online, and enjoying time with family
and friends. Though Jordan found sev-
eral mitzvah projects meaningful, he
most enjoyed the time spent with
JARC residents.

Rachael Arnie
LoPatin will be called
to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Friday,
May 9, at Temple
Shir Shalom. She is
the daughter of Carol
and Norman LoPatin
and older sister of
Aaron. Sharing in the simchah will be
proud grandparents Florence LoPatin
and Doris and Lynn Ehrle. She is also
the granddaughter of the late Larry
LoPatin.
Rachael is a straight-A student at
Abbott Middle School in West
Bloomfield. She likes to sail and play
guitar and computer games. She loves
summers at UAHC Camp George in
Ontario. As part of her mitzvah proj-
ects, she is creating a PowerPoint pres-
entation for the Doherty Elementary
fifth-grade class and is doing ongoing
work for Soaring Words, an organiza-
tion that helps sick children and vic-
tims of violence in Israel.

Chelsea Rebecca
Marks was called to
the Torah on the occa-
sion of her bat mitz-
vah Saturday, May 3,
at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. She is the
daughter of Randee
and Larry Loberman
and the late Rick Marks and the sister
of Wes Marks,Jennifer, Zeth and
Shane Loberman. Chelsea's very proud
grandparents are Connie Adler, Betty
and Milton Marks. She is also the
granddaughter of the late Bill Adler.
