Congregation B'nai Moshe will
kick off its newest summer Shabbat
Odyssey series Friday, May 9, with
a 6 p.m. Kabbalat Shabbat service,
featuring musical instruments and
dancing to contemporary Shabbat
music. Light snacks will be provid-
ed.
The service will be led by
Cantor Earl Berris and Rabbi Elliot
Pachter. Shabbat Odyssey is open
to the community.
Following the service at about
7:15 p.m., there will be a congrega-
tional Shabbat barbecue dinner for
those who have made advance
reservations.
During the course of the sum-
mer, there will be three more
Shabbat Odyssey Friday night serv-
ices and accompanying dinners.
The dates are June 13, July 11 and
Aug. 22. The cost for dinner will
be $8 for adults and teens 13 or
older; and $5 for children 4-12.
There is no dinner charge for chil-
dren ages 3 or younger.
The June 13 Shabbat Odyssey
dinner is tentatively planned as a
smorgasbord. Details will be
announced soon.
For information about Shabbat
Odyssey and/or to make reserva-
tions for upcoming summer
Shabbat Odyssey dinners, call the
