Noted Chef

The Adat Shalom
Synagogue
Sisterhood will pres-
ent its new cook-
book at the group's
Donor Day event
Tuesday, May 13.
From Our Table to
Yours - A Collection
of Kosher Recipes
Greenwald
Classic to
Contemporary con-
tains recipes from 200 Adat Shalom
members.
The Donor Day afternoon will con-
sist of shopping, luncheon fare from
recipes in the book, a talk by local chef
Elwin Greenwald and an opportunity to
purchase the cookbook at a special
price.
Greenwald teaches, lectures, travels
and is working on a book combining his
interests of cooking, travel and art.
Donor Day will begin with a conti-
nental breakfast and boutiques at 10
a.m., followed by the luncheon at noon.
There is a $36 minimum to attend, but
no entry charge for the shopping. Call
the synagogue office, (248) 851-5100,
for pricing information.

The Donor Day committee, chaired
by Susan Shacket, is composed of Sherri
Morof, Lauren Rosenberg, Sandi
Duschinsky, Sandi Miller, Joni Fisher,
Judie Dubin, Ruth Zerin, Helayne
Kaplan, Charlotte Edelheit, Celia
Lubetsky. Janis Holman and Linda
Warner are co-presidents of the sister-
hood.
Thee cookbook committee consists
of Jane Anchill, Beth Hirsch, Abby
Sherbin, Joyce Weingarten and Carol
Weintraub-Fogel.

Shir Shalom
Honors Youth

Temple Shir Shalom will honor 11 grad-
uating seniors at Shabbat services Friday,
June 6, at 8 p.m. The graduates are
Jeffrey Acciaioli, Joseph Edelman, Aaron
Freund, Amanda Gorman, Rachel
Kahan, Matthew Kuehn, Kira Lesser,
liana Marcus, Laura Pearson, Mara
Sweet, Stefanie Thalmann.
Confirmation students will be hon-
ored at a Thursday, erev Shavuot service,
June 5, at 7:30 p.m. The confirrnands are
