Israeli Tv reporter Gil Tamary will be
the featured speaker at a recruitment
meeting for the Jewish Federation's
Michigan Miracle Mission 4 at 7:30
p.m. Monday, May 12, at the Max M.
Fisher Federation Building in
Bloomfield Township.
Tamary has been the Washington
reporter and Washington Bureau
Chief for the Israel Broadcasting
Authority since 1998. He has covered
a wide range of Middle East issues,
including the Wye River summit with
the Palestinians, the Shepherdstown
talks with the Syrians
and the Camp David
summit of 2000.
After the Camp
David talks, President
Bill Clinton gave
Tamary an exclusive
interview.
Before coming to
Washington, he
Tamary
served as anchor and
chief editor of the
popular morning news show on Israeli
TV, Good Morning Israel. He is one of
the most prominent names in report-
ing on the Israeli economy, working
for several years as a commentator and
chief economic editor for Israel's
national TV and for Army Radio.
Tamary is a native Israeli and a
reservist officer in the Israeli Defense
Forces.
In addition to hearing from Tamary,
participants will hear the latest infor-
mation on Michigan Miracle Mission
4 and be able to submit applications
in time to take advantage of the early
sign-up incentive.
Cost of the trip is $2745, for appli-
cants who submit a confirmed trip
deposit before June 30, 2003.
Federation's MMM4 is co-sponsored
by the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit, Detroit Jewish
News and Michigan Board of Rabbis.
