died April 26, 2003.
She is survived by her son and daugh-

brother-in-law, Regina Polinsky and Sam

HAROLD RODD, 92, of West
Bloomfield, died April 24, 2003.
He is survived by his sons and daugh-

and Thelma Rodd of Southfield; sisters
and brother-in-law, Elsie Rodd of
Southfield, Mariann and Jack Moore of
Southfield; grandchildren, Vanessa Rodd,

Rodd. He was the beloved husband of
the late Sara Rodd.

ROSE ROSE, 93, of Birmingham, died
April 28, 2003. She was a member of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek and a past
member of B'nai B'rith.
Mrs. Rose is survived by her daughter

of Birmingham; son and daughter-in-law,
Martin and Julie Rose of Georgia; grand-

ESTHER SHIFRIN, 95, of West
Bloomfield, died April 27, 2003. She was
a graduate of Northern High School and
cut short her studies at the University of
Michigan in order to help support her
family during the depression years.
Later, she worked at the Detroit
Institute of Arts. In 1941, she married
Dr. Peter Shifrin and together they helped
