T

he final bell rang at 3:30 p.m. March 26 at Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan Detroit, but the day wasn't over for Sheila
Charlip's first-graders.
Along with their moms, dads and favorite teddy bears, they
returned to the Farmington Hills school at 5 p.m. for an "Almost
Sleepover" commemorating the end of "March Is Reading Month." The
event included a presentation in honor of children's author Dr. Seuss,
dinner from Jerusalem Pizza, story time, pillowcase painting and a lot of
snuggling.
