0 f all the forms of creative expression, it's pottery
that most inspires art teacher Natalie Cohen.
Now, thanks to Temple Israel's Joseph and Bessie
Lebowsky
Nursery Fund, Cohen's students at the tern-
, ,
ple's Early Childhood Center can share her creative passion. This
fall, the school purchased a large kiln and, since then, the children
at the West Bloomfield preschool have created mezuzot, chanukiot
and, for Purim, royal bells for King Ahasuerus and Queen Esther.
On March 26, the school's 29 kindergartners began their latest
project — ornate seder plates. E.
