Jessica is a student at Bloomfield Hills
Middle School. She is active in sports,
dance and forensics. Her mitzvah proj-
ects included Yad Ezra in Berkley, Camp
Mak-A:Dream in Montana and feeding
the homeless.
Alanna Lauren Levy,
daughter of Nancy and
Robert Levy and sister
of Noah, will celebrate
her bat mitzvah Friday,
April 11, at Temple
Israel. Her proud
grandparents are
Martha and Lawrence
Paul and Pearl and Jerome Fine. She is
also the grandchild of the late Norman
Zausmer and the late Leonard Levy.
Alanna is an honor student at Orchard
Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield.
She loves tennis, cooking, animals, mak-
ing scrapbooks and attending Camp
Walden in Cheboygan during the sum-
mer. Her most meaningful mitzvah proj-
ects involved collecting old cell phones
for Donate-a-Phone, an organization that
helps in the fight against domestic vio-
lence.
Joseph Hirsh Linden,
son of Fran and David
Linden and brother of
Avie and Molly, will
become a bar mitzvah
at Temple Israel Friday,
April 11. His grandpar-
ents are Jeanette
Auslander, Barbara and
Barney Rosen and Joan
Linden. He is also the grandchild of the
late Meyer Gross and the late Victor
Linden.
Joseph attends Birmingham
Covington School, where he is a member
of both the school band and the forensics
team. His other interests include snow-
boarding, playing the bass guitar and the
drums. His most meaningful mitzvah
project involved organizing a canned
food drive in his neighborhood.
Anna Rosenhaus will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah on Sunday, April
12, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. She is
the daughter of Cathy
Rosenhaus and Rick
Rosenhaus, sister of
Alex and Max and
granddaughter of Mel
and Betty Rosenhaus
and the late Shelley and
Elly Cohen.
Anna attends Warner
Middle School in Farmington Hills. She
enjoys horseback riding, snowboarding
and playing percussion in the school
band. She goes to summer camp at
Camp Arowhon in Canada, where she
rides horses, windsurfs and canoes. For
mitzvah projects, Anna volunteered to
help with children at Adat Shalom and
the Shul in West Bloomfield and at Yad
Ezra in Berkley.
Lindsey Taylor Shaw
will celebrate her bat
mitzvah at Temple
Israel Saturday, April
12, at Havdalah servic-
es. She is the daughter
of Hillary and Dr.
Randall Shaw and sister
of Melanie. Her excited
grandparents are Paula and John Polan
and Miriam and Dr Alfred Shaw.
Thrilled great-grandmother is Dorothy
Aaron.
Lindsey is an honor student at
Berkshire Middle School in
Birmingham. She participates in skiing,
tennis and softball and also enjoys the •
computer and attending Camp Walden
in Cheboygan. Her most meaningful
mitzvah project, done in memory of her
great-grandmother, involved working
with a friend, who organized bags of
chemo caps for kids.
Randi Krause Small,
daughter of Richard
and Melissa Small, will
be called to the Torah
as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, April 12, at
Congregation Shaarey
Zedek Southfield. Her
brother Robbie along
with her grandparents Sue and Erwin
Small and Reva Krause will share in the
simchah. Randi is also the granddaughter
of the late Jerome Krause.
Randi is an honor student at
Bloomfield Hills Middle School. She
takes part in the Student Leadership
Club and orchestra. She also played on
the school volleyball team, and she regu-
larly plays with the Force-Flame soccer
club. Ran& enjoys water-skiing, snow-
skiing and dance. Her favorite mitzvah
project was helping children at Conant -
Elementary in Bloomfield Hills.
