her 90th birthday by celebrating her very own Bat Mitzvah!

Steven Blake Astrein
will be called to read
from the Torah
Saturday, April 12, at
Temple Israel. He is the
son of Craig and
Elayne Astrein and sis-
ter of Carly. Sharing in
the simchah will be his
grandmothers Faye Katz and Irene
Astrein. He is also the grandson of the
late Saul Katz and the late Cyril Astrein.
Steven is an honor student at Walled
Lake Middle School. His interests
include travel baseball, basketball, play-
ing video games and being with friends.
As part of his mitzvah projects, he con-
tributed to Lou Gehrig Association,
worked the Labor Day picnic at Temple
Israel and volunteered at the Holocaust
Memorial Center in West Bloomfield.
Lindsey Sara Gaston
will celebrate her bat
mitzvah Saturday, April
12, at Temple Israel.
Her parents are Robin
and Bruce Gaston and
her sister is Kimberly.
She is the grandchild of
Joanne and Al Gaston
and the late Esther and Leo Silver.
Lindsey is an honor student at West
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
She writes music and stories, plays piano
and enjoys her pets, gymnastics, diving
and attending Tamarack Camps. As part
of her mitzvah projects, she volunteered
at Wing Lake School in Bloomfield
Hills, working with children with special
needs.
Matthew Ian Gorman

at Temple Shir Shalom
on Saturday, April 12.
He is the son of Judy
and Bruce Gorman
and younger brother of
Amanda. His proud
grandparents are
Shirley and Saul Gross of Livonia and
Pearl Gorman of Oak Park. Reading
from his great-grandmother's Torah will
be especially meaningful to Matthew.
