"It's been an amazing opportuni-
ty," Hayman said. "I'm having a
great time. I love the challenge of
portraying serious roles and dealing
with serious issues."
Hayman says the vignette about
the danger of handguns is one of her
favorites, especially with the current
wave of violence in schools and
around the world.
"I couldn't be more pleased," said
WBHS drama teacher Robin Nadler.
"The audience interaction, especially
in a school as diverse as this one, is
something I could never reproduce
in class. This experience has taught
the students more about theater and
about themselves than any classroom
could have.
"They have worked incredibly
hard, and they should be so happy
and proud of the positive impact
they have had on others."
WBHS student Jenna Saltsman
said, "By bringing this program to
the schools, we can teach other stu
dents about important subjects. It's a
real learning experience, and I'm
having a lot of fun with it."
Andrew Lebovic said he enjoys
playing the role of a "real jerk" in
the scene about sexual harassment.
"I've enjoyed learning how to speak
to students of differing age groups,
to see things from their point of
view," he said.

WBHS Assistant Principal Rob
Leider is enthusiastic about Project
TRUST "It fits right in with the
anti-bullying incentive programs we
already had in place," said Leider,
who is also the high school's former
drama teacher. "It's a whole different
way of performing that offers our
students and our community a great
educational experience."
And students reap the benefits,
too.
"I've learned a lot myself and
about the risks involved in certain
behaviors," said WBHS student
Andrew Lubetsky.
"Many of the kids who didn't
understand the purpose at the begin-
ning are now invested in getting the
message across," said Ceresnie. "It's
like watching a flower unfold."
In addition to performances at
other local schools, the West
Bloomfield students will present a
special performance of What Goes
Around and Peace Up! April 7 for
Adat Shalom Synagogue's high
school youth group and their par-
ents. El
