ROSE KUNIN, 89, of the Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield, died March
30, 2003. She was active in the Senior
Division of the Northwest Child Rescue
Women, an organization which provided
assistance to children with special needs, for
more than 50 years, both as a member and
an officer. She was also involved in the
Pinsker Progressive Aid Society, a group
comprised of immigrants from the Russian
city of Pinsk, where her husband, the late
William Kunin, was born.
Mrs. Kunin is survived by her son, Jerry
Kunin of West Bloomfield; sister, Betty
Levine of Southfield, brother, Joe (Frances)
Cohen of West Bloomfield; sister-in-law,
Frances Rowland of Nevada; granddaugh-
ter, Lauren Kunin.
