Regardless of our feelings about U.S. involve- ment before-the war started, now KERI most of us turn our thoughts to GUTEN the troops and what we can do COHEN to support them. At Temple Emanu-El, a cookie drive has turned into a call to action (story begins on page 12). Hundreds of boxes of goodies, each packed with a handmade note of thanks and encouragement, will be shipped to troops in Iraq via Selfridge Air National Guard Base. Elsewhere, others are donating blood or sending e-mails of support overseas. This week, as we grope for ways to help, JN staff writers are suggesting options.
