man, 8, of Keego Harbor, was so
enamored of his sister's siddur cover
being made for this year that he asked
his mother Ada if he could needle-
point a new one for himself.
Ada happily agreed, saying Albert's
cover is much more colorful than the
one she made for him last year. But
she is enjoying working on 6-year-old
daughter Claire's cover.
"I love doing this for my kids, and
they love helping and watching," Ada
says.

Claire picked out the pattern and
colors for her cover and Rachel helped
Claire with the color placements.
"She loves it," Ada says. "We all get
a big sense of pleasure and joy from
this."
Ada Yerman has taken such pleasure
from the project that she has begun
making a wedding chupah for her
children. "I get a lot of teasing," she
says, "because they are only 8 and 6,
but this is something I am really
enjoying." I I
