lot of other folks.
But Bob Feldman says that his
recent hole-in-one at the Villa Delray
Country Club in Delray, Fla., was his
34th ace.
The former owner of Feldbros Meat
Co. at Eastern Market, retired 24 years
ago ... and in 1952 shot his first hole-
in-one at the Oscoda Country Club in
Oscoda, Mich.
Number 34, according to Bob, was
while playing at Villa Delray with
New-tie Levin of West Bloomfield,
Harold Silverstein of Farmington Hills
and Leo Sklar of Commerce Township
... It was on the 185-yard par-three
11th hole.
A month earlier, Bob had a hole-in-
one on the same hole at Villa Delray,
where he says he has had eight one-
shot strokes.
Bob recalls that one of his most
memorable holes-in-one came in 1991
while representing Michigan at the
County Recreation Tournament at the
Lorraine Country Club in Lorraine,
Ohio.
When he was all-Armed Forces mid-
dleweight boxing champion, 1944-45,
Bob Weighed 157 ... Today, at 76-
years-old, he is still at his "fighting
weight" of 160 ... and gives regular
golf lesions to women at the Villa
Delray Country Club, where he is a
member.
Sure, 34 holes-in-one is hard to
swallow ... but Bob says he can back
up every swing.
