hey've never met, but they're
already friends.
Kindergarten children at
Adat Shalom Synagogue
became pen pals, of a sort, with Israeli
students in the Central Galilee. Using
stickers, photos and other art supplies,
the American children created profiles of
themselves. They talked about hobbies,
favorite activities, what they like to do
with their families. Then photographs
were taken, and everything went into a
packet mailed to Israel.
"Now we're hoping to get something
similar back from the children in Israel,"

The program, called All About Me, is
part of the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit's Partnership 2000
Project, which focuses on developing
Jewish identity and unity between
Michigan and the Central Galilee.
