of a newly waxed showroom auto.
There is much to be said about
restaurant cleanliness ... It is one asset
that can never be overstated.
This has gotten to be somewhat of a
trademark at Steve's Deli ... which,
along with its excellent food and veter-

THIRD TIME IN eight years of
being judged ... that Cafe Cortina took
top honors as "Best Restaurant" ... at
the recent Michigan Culinary Food &
Wine Extravaganza (MCFWE.)
About 20 Metro restaurants compet-
ed at Mac & Ray's ... with each restau-
rant judged on food and wine pairings
and table display.
Cafe Cortina's ravioli fatta was paired
with Allegrini, La Grola Veronese.
Second place went to Hill Seafood
& Chophouse; third to Mac & Ray's;
fourth to Steve & Rocky's; and a fifth
place tie was between Beverly Hills
Grill and Tin Fish.
About 1,000 attended the Mardi
Gras-themed benefit for MCFWE
scholarships and Culinary Olympic
Team Macomb.
