"When we were working on Rent, the creators needed to throw away La Boheme in their minds, as it was like working on an origi- nal musical," says Seller. "On the other hand, [our Broadway pro- duction of] La Boheme is trying to stay true to Puccini. We want to maintain our loyalty to Puccini and make ourselves true to audi- ences in 2003." La Boheme will come to Detroit in the future, but dates for the road company haven't' been set yet.
