Women's Seder

Carol Weintraub Fogel will chair the
Women's Seder sponsored by the
Women's Campaign and Education
Department of the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit.
Rabbi Lauren Berkun will lead the
seder at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at
Adat Shalom Synagogue. Lisa Soble
Siegmann will provide musical accompa-
himent.
The event is open to women and girls
12 and older. Registration begins at 6
p.m. Cost is $36 per person. Dietary
laws will be observed. The special
Haggadah created by the Women's
Department will be used.

Federation of Metropolitan Detroit
invites professionals in healthcare to a
discussion on "Smallpox as a Terrorist
Threat" by Dr. Manfred Green Sunday,
March 23, 7:30 p.m. at the Max M.
Fisher Federation Building in
Bloomfield Township.
A native of Johannesburg, South
Africa, Dr. Green is director of the Israel
Center for Disease Control and chair-
man of the Department of
Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine
at Tel Aviv University.
Following the program, there will be a
question-and-answer session. Coffee and
dessert will be served, with dietary laws
observed. The cost of the program is
$15 per person, with a minimum gift of
$500 requested for Federation's 2003
