Classes at the Kahn Budding in West Bloomfield include basic back care, light aerobics, light weights and body aware- ness. The Jimmy Prentis Morris Building in Oak Park offers Fitness for Seniors weekdays at 11 a.m. JPM offers MS Exercise in the water and the Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Exercise Program. All classes are free to JCC Fitness and Health Club members. The aquatics department at the West Bloomfield building offers Smooth Moves, a class designed to increase flexibil- ity, relieve aches and pains and promote blood flow in participants with arthritis. Class takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The class fee is $70 for JCC members and $90 for non-members. The Institute for Retired Professionals has 25 discussion groups that meet regu- larly at both JCC locations, as well as other programs of interest. The IRP Spring Mini-series will begin on Feb. 28, with morning sessions from 10:30 a.m. to noon and afternoon sessions from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Parties, field trips and lectures also are available to older adults at both buildings.
