JCC Classes

The Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit offers opportu-
nities for active older adults at both
JCC locations.
Classes at the Kahn Budding in West
Bloomfield include basic back care, light
aerobics, light weights and body aware-
ness. The Jimmy Prentis Morris
Building in Oak Park offers Fitness for
Seniors weekdays at 11 a.m. JPM offers
MS Exercise in the water and the
Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Exercise
Program. All classes are free to JCC
Fitness and Health Club members.
The aquatics department at the West
Bloomfield building offers Smooth
Moves, a class designed to increase flexibil-
ity, relieve aches and pains and promote
blood flow in participants with arthritis.
Class takes place on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The class
fee is $70 for JCC members and $90 for
non-members.
The Institute for Retired Professionals
has 25 discussion groups that meet regu-
larly at both JCC locations, as well as
other programs of interest. The IRP
Spring Mini-series will begin on Feb. 28,
with morning sessions from 10:30 a.m.
to noon and afternoon sessions from 1 to
2:30 p.m.
Parties, field trips and lectures also are
available to older adults at both buildings.

The Koach Chapter of Women's American
ORT hosted Wingo, a night of silent auc-
tion, dinner and bingo. Money raised for
ORT's technological and vocational schools

Open Houses For
BBYO Prospects

The B'nai B'rith Youth Organization
will hold prospective member open
house events at the Jewish
Community Centers in Oak Park and
West Bloomfield in March.
From 2-3 p.m. Sunday, March 2,
Jewish teens and their parents are invited
to the BBYO open house at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building in Oak Park. A
similar event will be held 1-3 p.m.
Sunday, March 9, at the D. Dan and
Betty Kahn Building in West
Bloomfield.
Parent orientations will be held con-
currently with the teen meetings.
Regional BBYO Membership Vice

Business Administration presented the
annual Paul Kelman Business Ethics
Lecture and Discussion Series. Kelman
was a former accounting professor at
WSU and, when he retired, his friends
and colleagues endowed the discussion
series in his name to provide an annual
public dialogue on the importance of
business ethics. Shown are Kelman's
daughters, Janet and Miriam Kelman,
both of Huntington Woods. Miriam
