In Memory of David H. Raitt
Arbor formerly of Cleveland, Ohio,
died Feb. 12, 2003. He worked in
the accounting and payroll depart-
ment for the Cleveland Transit
Authority. A World War II veteran,
Mr. Goldman was a member of the
101st Airborne Division, fought in
the Battle of the Bulge, was
involved in the liberation of France
and received four bronze stars.
He is survived by his wife of 56
years, Esther Goldman; son, Robert
Goldman of Three Oaks, Mich.;
daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl
and Edward D'Angelo of Ann
Arbor; grandchildren, Steven and
Jennifer Goldman, Michael
Goldman, Jonathan D'Angelo,
Joshua D'Angelo; great-grandchil-
dren, Sydney and Shelby Goldman;
brother-in-law, Albert Wakser. He
was the brother-in-law of the late
Charlotte Wakser.
Interment at Arborcrest.

IRVING KATANICK, 84, former
Detroiter of Pompano Beach, Fla.,
died Feb. 6, 2003. He was a real
estate developer and investor. He
was also a World War II veteran.
Mr. Katanick is survived by his
wife of 53 years, Mamie; son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Sheldon and
Joyce Katanick of Ocala, Fla.;
daughter and son-in-law, Rhody
and Terry Kelrnan of Paradise
Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren, Chuck,
Rachel, Ari, Greg, Rob, Rebecca
and Willie; great-grandchildren,
Devyn, Grant, Emma and Dylan;
brother and sister-in-law, Norman
and Glorine Katanick; sister, Edith
Farkas. He was the loving brother of
the late William and Martin
Katanick, the late Gertie Hoberman
and the late Betty Kelman.
Services were held at the Star of
David Memorial Park in North
Lauderdale, Fla. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one's choice.
