gle day," says Jackie. "It kills me that
they won't be here to see the opening
of my movie. They would have been
so proud and excited."

she became the first woman inducted

The eighth annual Mardi Gras-
theme event will be at Mac & Ray's
Banquet & Conference Center in
Harrison Township ... Past seven years
proceeds have been given to the
Michigan Culinary Team, but there
won't be one at the 2004 World
Culinary Arts Salon in Germany ...
The celebration still goes on, with
funds sending Team Macomb, repre-
senting Macomb Community College,
which will compete.
Restaurant winner last year was
Steve & Rocky's ... Second place, Mac
& Ray's, Third Place, Golden
Mushroom ... Best food and wine
pairing went to Cafe Cortina.
IT WAS NUMBER 60 in the
anniversary department for Marion
and Jay Grant ... and about 150 came
to help this fine couple celebrate.
The fun-filled evening marked many
years of friendship among many of the
attendees ... Oldest was that of former
Farmington Hills councilman and
mayor Ben Marks ... 60 years.
Birthdays of family members weren't
forgotten ... with both celebrated on
the auspicious occasion of Marion and
Jay ... Tracey Grant, daughter of their
son, Mark, was born on the celebrant's
