Mr. Klein was a co- founder and chairman of the board of Alaron Inc. and was long Bernard Klein involved in service to the community. He served on the board of governors of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and usr Ho as a chairman of the srtroR • / Mercantile Division of the Allied Jewish Campaign. A longtime member of the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit board of directors, Mr. Klein served as vice president and was elected distinguished service member. He was an ardent supporter of Israel Bonds and was Congregation B'nai Moshe's chairman of Israel Bonds as well as vice president of the congrega- tion. Mr. Klein was also a founding member and former board member of the Holocaust Memorial Center in West Bloomfield, a Hadassah associate and a member of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
