hen I first heard about Juliana Katzman's wed-
ding to David Lipschultz, I became intrigued.
And who do you think told me about the wed-
ding? Of course, it was her mother, Shelley
Tauber. Shelley has a stylish flair, so I knew our readers
would enjoy this special wedding — a combination of ele-
gance and kitsch.
There is no doubt every wedding is special, even the sec-
ond time around, according to Julie Weingarden Dubin. Julie
is the author of the book How to Plan an Elegant Second
Wedding, Achieving the Wedding You Iliant with Grace and Style.
Associate Editor Linda Bachrack interviewed Julie about her
well-researched guide. I can't resist revealing that Style maga-
zine (Our sister publication that reaches more than 60,000
households in the general community.) played a special role
in the marriage of Julie Weingarden and Bobby Dubin. Julie
was on assignment for Style covering the bar scene, when this
handsome hunk asked why she had a notebook and pen in
her hand. This auspicious meeting began their romance.
Keeping with the bridal theme in this issue, we feature an
historical fashion show "Jewish Brides Through the Ages and
Around the World" presented at The Shul in West
Bloomfield. Read about this exciting event and the presti-
gious award bestowed to Rochel Kagan.
Whether weddings are in your immediate plans or not, you
will be interested in jeweler Adrienne Lenhoff, who was
inspired by her great-grandmother. Lenhoff magically trans-
forms vintage pieces into au courant jewels.
We will revisit weddings again in our June issue of Style at
the Jewish News. Please feel free to e-mail me at
cschwartz@oaklandstyle.com with some suggestions about
recent weddings.
