family picnic after voting.

National Union Party headed by

According to Mode, "Likud isn't
strong enough to withstand the
world pressure, and they might make
compromises that will endanger the
country. They need someone from
the right to make the right deci-
sions.
The couple also liked the National
Union's makeup — a mixture of reli-
gious, secular and traditional politi-
cians.
As a whole, the Poss family is
hopeful about Israel's future. "At my
work, I talk to many Russian
grants, and they feel very scared,"
said Sonya. "But we have faith and
optimism."
And over the next few weeks, with
the U.S. war with Iraq, and U.S.-
backed "road map" for peace loom-
ing, faith and optimism may be
what Israel needs most.0
