Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Allison Rae Gold will
celebrate her bat mitz-
vah on Saturday, Feb.
1, at Temple Israel.
She is the daughter of
Esther and Kenneth
Gold and the sister of
Dayna. Her proud
grandparents are
Fryda and Avrum
Fleish. She is also the
grandchild of he late Jean and Jack Gold.
Allison attends Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield, where she is a
seventh-grade honor student. Her favorite
activities include golf, basketball, volley-
ball, reading and computers. Her most
meaningful mitzvah project involved vol-
unteering at and donating to Yad Ezra in
Berkley.

Ryan Devin Hauck,
son of Robin and
Robert Hauck and
brother of Rachael,
will celebrate his bar
mitzvah during
Havdalah services
Saturday, Feb. 1, at
Temple Israel. His
grandparents are
Carole and Ronald
DeRoven and Sandy and Robert Hauck;
his very excited great-grandmother is
Evelyn Starman.
•Attending Oak Valley Middle School
in Commerce Township, where he is an
honor student, Ryan likes football, hock-
ey, golf and the computer. He felt his
most significant mitzvah project was shar-
ing activities with residents at the West
Bloomfield Nursing and Convalescent
Center, where he developed an ongoing
relationship with one resident.

Samantha Whitney
Rock will be called to
the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Friday,
Jan. 31, at Temple
Shir Shalom. She is
the daughter of
Steven and Carol
Rock and grand-
daughter of Pearl
Heyman. Samantha is
also the granddaughter of the late
William and Roslyn Rock and the late
Seymour Heyman.
Samantha is in the seventh grade at
West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills. She enjoys dancing and spending
time with her friends. She and her family
volunteered at Yad Ezra in Berkley, which
supplies toiletries and food for the needy.
