She and her dear husband, Morris, also of blessed memory, have been mainstays of the entire Jewish community since World War II, and were among the early founders of Bar-Ilan University. Later, Emma created the Morris L. and Emma Schaver Yiddish Chair at Bar-Ilan under the auspices of the Rena Costa Yiddish Center, endowed the Yiddish library and was instrumental in the granting of Masters and Doctorate degrees in Yiddish. The Schaver name is synonymous with countless Jewish organizations and she will be dearly missed by our entire community. May her son and family know no more sorrow.
