appointed the head of craniofacial
and pediatric plastic surgery at Duke
University in Durham, N.C. He will

What's "Good for the Heart" will be
the topic of discussion of
Federation's next Food for Thought
event, sponsored by the Women's
Campaign and Education
Department, in corporate sponsor-
ship with Blue Cross, Blue Shield,
and Blue Care Network of
Michigan. The event is chaired by
Joanne Aronovitz, with associate
chair Sheri Schiff.
The speakers will be Dr. Pam
Marcovitz, director of the Ministrelli
Women's Heart Center and director
of echocardiographic research and
stress echocardiography at William
Beaumont Hospital; Gail Posner,
registered dietician, nutritional
counselor, owner and president of
Healthy Ways Nutrition.
The program is Tuesday, Feb. 4, at
the Community House, 380 S. Bates
Street, Birmingham.
Registration is at 6:30 p.m. with
the program and a kosher dessert, 7-
9 p.m.
The cost for registration is $18.
